Platte County Historical Society

Roles: Logo Design, Website Design & Development

The Platte County Historical Society operates the Platte County Museum in Columbus, Nebraska, and strives to promote an appreciation for local history and its impact on the present.

While PCHS values the past, they also recognize the importance of modernizing their website and branding. To achieve this, the main objectives were to create online forms for membership and donations, make content creation easier, and develop a mobile-responsive site. Additionally, a unique feature was added—a self-guided walking tour of Downtown Columbus using QR codes and web-based narratives.

The new branding is centered around the history of Platte County, using a covered wagon as an icon to represent its past and future. A full logo family was developed, and PCHS received visual identity guidelines to ensure that all elements of their branding are utilized consistently in the future.
